Senior Edit Assistant

Ricochet, a Warner Bros. Discovery company are recruiting for a Senior Edit Assistant to join our highly creative, vibrant and inclusive team in Brighton.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful applicant join our in-house Post-Production team.


Ricochet, a leading producer of high quality, award-winning television brands such as The Repair Shop, Food Unwrapped, Bidding Room, Sun Sea & Selling Houses, Kings of the Wood and Britain’s Top Takeaways, are looking for a Senior Edit Assistant to join our team.

Reporting into Post-Production Operations Supervisor, as Senior Edit Assistant you will take a lead role within the Edit Assistant team, leading by example ensuring that all post-production tasks run smoothly.  

You will provide excellent client service at all times, both face to face and in written communication. In addition to this, you will provide advice and training to edit assistants on best practices, workflows, new technologies and processes, including QC and file-based AS-11 delivery.


You will work closely with the Post Production Operations Supervisor, to ensure the smooth running of the Edit Assistant team & MCR department, maintaining a general overview of Edit Assistant shift patterns and assisting in arranging cover when required. 

You will also assist Editors with any requests, queries and technical issues they may encounter and you will ensure all technical issues are communicated amongst the Edit Assistant team and escalated where necessary. You will help to develop workflows & create support documents for new technologies, including AS-11 & AQC. 


You will have a detailed knowledge of post-production workflows, including tape and file-based standards conversions.  

Ideally you will have worked as a Senior Edit Producer previously and have sound working knowledge of ingest, digitising and conforming as well as QCing and archiving onto LTO. Also exporting cuts for review and creating AAF files and MXF files plus delivery of completed shows to broadcaster.



This role will be based primarily in the Brighton office, with the opportunity for remote working when possible.
