Content Operations Manager

Spotify Content Operations provides daily operational support for Music, Video, and Podcasts through the supply chain. 

We seek a highly experienced and motivated Content Operations Manager to lead our EU/US team of specialists, reporting directly to the Director of Content Operations (UK). 
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an impactful team that can efficiently manage high-volume operations while finding scalable solutions to streamline processes. We work closely with content partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the catalog is available to Spotify users around the world.

Who You Are:

  • At least 2 years of people management experience, managing performance and growing individuals
  • Proven experience of Workforce Management across large teams. Ability to implement and analyse complex data sets to understand, monitor and regularly report on capacity levels and provide operational cost analysis
  • Previous knowledge/experience of DDEX metadata standards, RSS, content supply chain operations, etc.
  • Experience influencing strategic planning and participating in prioritization exercises to inform future plans
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and drive work streams. Highly adaptable and quick learner who thrives in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relations, both internal to Spotify and externally.


What You'll Do:

  • Accountable for daily operations across the Spotify supply chain and represent your direct team in cross-functional working groups, high-priority company initiatives, and planning
  • Lead and develop a team of Content Operations specialists (6+) and set up rituals to ensure good communication across a healthy global team
  • Accountable for the team’s performance, capacity and KPI progress and calling out risks to success to the Director Of Content Operations. As well as setting and driving the team’s vision and strategy
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and proactively identifying any issues that impact operational performance/expectations, and remove obstacles that prevent the team from achieving goals
  • Manage incidents impacting operational performance and expectations and contribute to finding solutions and long term remediations
  • Partner with product and tech to define roadmaps and find opportunities to create efficiency through automation and tooling
  • Educate stakeholders on operational best practices and maintain good partner relations by attending meetings, regular calls, business reviews etc and representing the team’s area of work.
