The Media Planning Executive is responsible
for creating and delivering priority promo plans for Hearst Networks brands
both in the UK and Internationally, ensuring our promo airtime is being used
effectively as well as collaborating with our Media Planning partners at Sky.
Media Planning at Hearst Networks sits
within the Marketing & Communications department. Our small but impactful team focuses on strategically
communicating with our audience to ensure they find the content they love;
creating awareness of the latest TV programmes or products we are launching
across multiple brands and territories.
This is a 12-month
fixed term contract position. This role will
be hybrid based in the London office, working on exciting, award-winning brands
like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.

Key responsibilities:
- Create
strategic owned media plans across the Hearst brands, based on media planning
expertise and historical data
- Oversee
the use of promo airtime across our international territories
- Monitor our available
promotional inventory and track campaign performance against targets. Present
updates on this regularly in meetings and via email
- Work closely with the
Presentation team, clearly communicating the campaign targets and if any
adjustments are needed during a campaign to ensure it meets its goal
- Commission
relevant assets and manage campaigns on ongoing basis once planned, reacting to
schedule amendments or any impacting influence
- Produce
reports which evaluate campaign performance against objectives and ensuring
learnings are adopted for the future, present these learnings back to the
business when relevant
- Collaborate
with our external Media Planning partners at Sky, maintaining a positive &
working relationship, briefing them on our latest priorities and managing
cross-promotion campaigns
- Represent
the Media Planning team in relevant business meetings, actively participating
to share campaign information and offering media planning expertise &
guidance.

Essential
Skills / Knowledge:
- Experience
planning TV media campaigns, in either an agency or broadcaster
environment
- Understanding
of promotional strategies across linear broadcast channels, and the how
these should be adapted to deliver against business & marketing
objectives
- Experience
using TechEdge, or similar BARB measurement tool
- Strong
communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) – the ability to
explain and present complex information in simple terms
- Keen attention
to detail & highly organised
- Ability to
work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with capacity to manage
and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
- Pro-active and
self-motivated with a great team-spirit
- Strong
relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in
Excel and PowerPoint, with positive approach to learning new software.
