Entertainment Assistant Producer

Whisper North is looking for an experienced Entertainment Assistant Producer to work on a primetime studio gameshow.

Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded entertainment.

 

Our diverse team of over 270 team members work in offices across the UK and beyond, producing top level sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters.

It's co-owned by Sony Pictures Television and is a seven-times Broadcast Best Places to Work.


The role will involve creating funny and memorable word puzzles, pitching and brainstorming new format points, setting up run-throughs, and using an Inquizative Minds database to keep track of show content.


Experience working on other primetime studio entertainment shows, comedy panel formats, quiz and gameshows is highly desirable, as is some experience in format development and question writing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Questions team
  • Supporting the questions team with researching and writing questions for various games
  • Ensuring that questions are fitting with the ethos of the programme
  • Fact checking
  • Generating new puzzle ideas and pitching to the senior creative team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working on quiz and game shows
  • Experience of ideas generation for a variety of game shows
  • Experience of fact-checking
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong team ethic and the ability to prioritise workloads with ease, working in a pressurised team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team
  • Ability to manage workload
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads, new systems and technologies.


Details:

  • Location: Remote/Media City, Salford
  • Start/End: 14th of July until the 21st of September- must be available for studio from the 19th to the 21st of September in Manchester. This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.
  • Salary: Based on experience.
