Head of Campaign Production

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Campaign Production on a 12-month fixed term contract to provide maternity cover.

STV’s Inhouse Creative team are the ones behind the big ideas that make our brand stand out. Working in collaboration with Marketing, the Inhouse Creative team create campaigns that promote the award-winning shows on STV and STV Player, as well as supporting important initiatives like STV Zero and the STV Children’s Appeal.


The Role:

  • Produce and deliver priority multiplatform campaigns which include on-air promos & TV commercials, social, digital and print deliverables, to ensure a smooth creative and production process and positive outcome for our stakeholders
  • Manage and oversee a small team of Campaign Producers who are responsible for project managing and delivering STV’s multiplatform marketing campaigns, providing advice and troubleshooting throughout each campaign
  • Work closely with our Resources Manager to evaluate and manage resource across the Campaign Production team, allocating and tracking work to ensure the Production team is operating at capacity
  • Regularly review and improve processes and workflows, to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Develop and maintain close, collaborative working relationships with the Inhouse Creative team’s Creative Director, Lead Creative and Lead Designer, as well as STV’s Head of Marketing, Digital Marketing Manager and other key stakeholders around the business
  • Provide ongoing training, professional and pastoral support for direct reports
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external parties such as voiceover agencies, music libraries, casting agents etc.
  • Ensure all material produced is compliant with legal & regulatory requirements. Assist with compliance and local clearance of marketing assets
  • Assist in any other aspect of the work of the company as reasonably required.


Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role in the creative advertising industry, or ready to progress from a senior producer or senior account manager role within a digital, design, social media or creative advertising agency
  • Proven experience of managing and developing a small team
  • Practical experience in producing small to medium scale shoots for motion content campaigns
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and balance changing priorities
  • Evidence of providing leadership, motivation and development with an ability to judge and adapt to situations effectively
  • Proven experience of working within budgetary, financial and legal/ regulatory parameters. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support creative pitches in a client-facing environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with highly developed attention to detail and accuracy, including written presentation skills
  • Demonstrable passion for advertising, branding and marketing and an understanding of changing media landscape and broadcast and digital platforms
  • Excellent PC and MAC skills
  • An understanding of BCAP/ CAP, Ofcom broadcasting Code
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in marketing, media or arts related discipline is desirable.
