Production Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to be responsible for leading video production management and driving operational excellency across all units of our Content and Media team.
The Role

We are looking for a Production Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract basis to be responsible for leading video production management and driving operational excellency across all units of our Content and Media team.


By working with both in-house and freelance production crews, you'll be responsible for ensuring each production is resourced correctly, runs to budget and time, and all relevant documents are managed appropriately. This role also owns the schedule and rota for all commissioned shoots.


Additionally, you will be entrusted to manage team accreditation requirements and be a central point of contact for rights holders (UEFA) and the Content department across matchdays.


This role sits within the Operations and Planning subunit, supporting the optimisation of our Content department’s workflows and processes, project execution, and resource allocation.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead on production management - you'll be responsible for overseeing production management, scheduling and resourcing, processes and standards 
  • Deliver a best-in-class resourcing service - you will proactively resource shoots, working with a mix of in-house colleagues, freelancers and external agencies
  • Create and manage key documentation - you will ensure shoot teams are equipped with accurate call sheets and up to date RAMs and permissions documents
  • Collaborate with colleagues across our club - you will proudly act as the central point of contact for video production management 
  • Optimise our processes - you'll relish the opportunity to develop an improved production model to enact improved efficiency and effectiveness, and you'll update the end-to-end production and centralised briefing processes 
  • Handle team accreditation - you will diligently lead on team accreditation requirements across key competitions and rights holders
  • Provide budgetary management - you'll manage multiple budget lines and processes, ensuring updates are communicated clearly to relevant internal teams 
  • Partner with our wider Content team - you will unite with our Commercial Content unit on rights management and footage requests and you'll sync up with our Operations and Planning subunit to ensure team-wide planning, processes, and workflows are optimal 
  • Take responsibility for production equipment - you'll ensure that equipment is appropriately managed and that accompanying processes are carefully followed, setting the team up for success on shoot days.

Please note: this position will come with the occasional requirement to be present on set to manage large and complex shoots

 

What we are looking for
  • Background in production - you come with extensive experience working in digital content production and you're proud of your ever expanding network of production specialists such as camera operators and editors 
  • Track record in a fast paced industry - you're well versed in working under pressure and to tight deadlines, experience working in sports and/or with elite sports teams is preferred but not essential 
  • History of managing external partners - you are easily able to work with multiple agencies, external production companies and freelancers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - you're unfazed when working with challenging and high-profile stakeholders with ambitious goals and you leverage your outstanding communication skills to build impactful relationships 
  • Project management mindset - you are adept at project management and handling complex production budgets and you can confidently work with a range of project management tools such as Airtable, Asana and Trello
  • Knowledge of accreditation systems - you've previously used complex accreditation systems such as FAME
  • Elevated problem-solving ability - you're proactive and highly organised and you lean on your exceptional attention to detail to tackle a complex range of challenges
  • Confident IT user - you have advanced MS Office skills and are quick to get up to speed on new software and platforms
