About Us
We are Content Rocket: An international film and TV distributor that publishes across a host of digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Roku and Samsung. Our team is small, but our reach is mighty — and we are in need of an Acquisitions Assistant to help our team bring more and better content into the business.
Role Overview
This is a commercial role and will report to the Head of Partnerships. We are a fast growing company and team with a lot of opportunity to progress and put your stamp on what we do.
We are looking for candidates with both administration and client-facing sales or acquisition experience in the TV and film space. Someone confident to hit the ground running who is self motivated, tech-savvy, wants to help us grow and is continually looking to improve the way things are done.
As you will often be required to make initial, fact-finding outreach to potential content partners, written and verbal communication competencies are essential. Fluency in English is crucial. Fluency in other languages is a bonus.
This position will be fully remote with flexible working — we are looking ideally to fill this position full time but would also consider condensed/flexible hours. You will also be eligible for a performance-based bonus as well as sick pay.
Specific Duties:
Detailed desk research in order to support the acquisitions team
Initial fact-finding activities across multiple resources like IMDB Pro, Cinando, Rocket Reach etc.
Making initial contact with content partner prospects to confirm your information.
Diary and schedule management across the acquisitions team, especially around markets and conferences
Some day to day meeting organisation and agenda creation
CRM system administration and data entry.

Requirements
Qualities:
Proactive and prepared for work in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlines
Attention-to-detail; we are looking for someone who is able to research efficiently and effectively and has the ability to focus on the details along with what is important for the business
The ability to prioritise tasks and ask for guidance if you are unsure
Confidence in communication especially over email and the phone. Happy to open a conversation with a prospective partner on a call
Ability to doggedly follow research leads and gauge potential value until a definite outcome is reached.
Essential to get stuck in from the get go, no task is too small.
Experience:
Experience of acquisitions or sales is essential — MUST be in the film and TV space.
Experience within a client-facing role is essential, as well as some administration experience.
Some existing knowledge of films and TV, ability to view them critically when needed
Understanding of digital distribution and language is beneficial
Fluency in English.
Software and Tool Proficiency:
*Please note, we do not expect you to have experience of all these exact tools, but we do expect you to have some experience with similar ones
Project management tools such as Monday.com and
CRM experience with Attio or other similar software
Microsoft Office/Google suite.
Details
Salary: £23-27k based on experience.
