Assistant Producer - UEFA

We are inviting applications from experienced Assistant Producers to join our talented UEFA

Team based in Kew, London.

Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded

entertainment.

 

Our diverse team of over 270 work in offices across the UK and beyond, producing sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters.

 

In 2023 Whisper won a BAFTA and was nominated for an International EMMY. 

 

It's co-owned by Sony Pictures Television and is a seven-times Broadcast Best Places to Work. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional to join our UEFA department. 

 

The candidate should have a keen interest in high-end sports production, a real passion for Football, travel and creativity and they should match this with research, technical and editorial know-how, including writing. 

 

A good standard of self-editing on Adobe Premiere Pro is preferable, an ability to self-shoot on Sony A7S, FX3 or FX9 is welcome, as are foreign language skills.

 

This role is integral to the delivery of short-form content and magazine programming for the UEFA slate.

 

The person’s work will be used by global television rights-holders and therefore will be seen all over the world. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the production team across a range of magazine programming and Digital content for UEFA
  • Generate innovative ideas which bring a personality-driven and unique angle to a story, often which may not have been seen or told before and demonstrate and ability to think outside the box
  • Organise, produce and film two-camera shoots, as well as edit producing a range of creative content
  • Ensure all content is of a first-class standard, thoroughly researched and factually correct.
  • Work effectively with other departments, clients and partners (both internal and external), maintaining Whisper’s excellent relationships and communication
  • Ensure that the output complies with Whisper’s editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, whilst always working to the company’s Health and Safety policy
  • To keep abreast of developments and trends in the Digital space and make suggestions for creative content
  • Uphold the reputation of the company by embodying the ethos of Whisper.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Demonstrated ability and experience of producing engaging, entertaining, and creative features for both Linear and Digital platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of Global Football
  • Ability to spot a good story, devise and develop strong creative ideas
  • Ability to write clear and concise material for briefs and scripts
  • Strong research techniques and the ability to verify the accuracy of material
  • Strong knowledge of Whisper’s editorial guidelines and compliance policies, or a willingness to establish this quickly
  • Understanding of the importance of a multi-platform workflow and delivering to Digital audiences
  • Experience with complex workloads, consistently prioritising and delivering to deadlines, reacting positively to changes and conflicts
  • Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • A demonstrable level of creativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving output.


Working Days:

4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working.

You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirements and the UEFA match calendar for the 2025/26 season.

Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.

Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

 

Location: 

The base for this position will be predominantly Kew, London.

 

Start/End:

25th August 2025 on FTC until 12th June 2026
