The Role:
This role would suit somebody with a passion for rugby, who can match that with a developing skillset across social media content creation, and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
We’d love to hear from applicants with experience of posting on social media accounts, either a sports-related personal account or a sports club / business account, who would enjoy working in an interactive and growth-oriented environment, and have that crucial love for all things rugby.
You’d be someone who devours sports content, spots trends, has strong editorial judgement and entertaining writing skills.
Your Mission:
- Work closely with our Digital team to manage Rugby YouTube and Social channels
- Dream up and execute cutting-edge rugby content that dominates social feeds and brings a new audience to the sport.
- Be on top of all rugby news and manage day-to-day posting and content scheduling across the channels
- Stay ahead of online trends and sports stories, becoming our go-to expert on what’s next in the sport
- Coordinate comprehensive live match-day coverage across platforms — real-time score updates, graphics, key moments content, and anything that will bring Rugby to a wider audience.

The Skills You Bring:
- A deep understanding and passion for rugby culture, player and fan dynamics that fuels engaging, dynamic clips and stories for social media
- Strong knowledge of platforms such as YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok
- Strong content instincts, understanding of internet culture, memes, and digital storytelling
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in a Digital Production environment
- A knack for creating shareable content tailored to each platform’s vibe
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro and cloud-clipping platforms (WSC, Grabyo, etc.)

Location:
The base for this position is Kew, London.
Working Days:
5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH
You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.
There will be evening and weekend work based around rugby fixtures, and this fixture list will form the basis of the team’s working rota.
Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.
Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.
