Junior Camera & Digital Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to break into the photography industry and build hands-on experience working with professional camera equipment. You don’t need to have previous kit room experience – just a strong interest in photography and to have completed a degree in a relevant field.

We’ll provide full training and support from our experienced team, who will teach you everything from the basics of kit handling to the ins and outs of both digital and analogue capture.

At ProLighting, we operate one of the largest and most up-to-date kit rooms in the UK, packed with industry-leading gear. Main Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and prepping kit within tight timeframes so that it is ready for rental
• Checking in equipment on its return from jobs
• Ensuring that returned equipment is in full working order and there are no damages
• Reporting damaged stock and sending items for repair where necessary
• Maintaining equipment so that high standards of cleanliness are adhered to.

Essential Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of cameras, both digital and analogue.
• Educated to undergraduate level as a minimum
• Passion for all things photography
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A highly organised approach to tasks with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise when working under pressure
• A team player who doesn’t mind putting in the hard graft to get the job done.
