Junior Production Coordinator (EastEnders)

EastEnders are on the lookout for a Junior Production Coordinator to support the smooth running of the production by assisting with child licensing, artist scheduling, and production logistics.

  • CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term Contract, Full-time / Attachment
  • DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Scripted Drama - EastEnders
  • LOCATION: Elstree, Borehamwood
  • PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £22,225 - £26,000 + London Weighting at £5,319 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Your role will be key in ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication across departments, contributing to the efficient delivery across the board.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • Assist with the end-to-end process of child licensing, including tracking working patterns, liaising with parents and production teams, and managing leave requests
  • Maintain accurate records related to child artists and chaperones, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding regulations
  • Provide general office support such as booking accommodation and transport, managing parking requests, and ordering supplies
  • Issue CANS for guest artists, process child artist payments, and track chaperone training and licensing documentation
  • Act as a point of contact across EastEnders departments, ensuring timely and clear communication of production needs and updates.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • At least 6 months experience in broadcast TV production, ideally within drama. This can be in roles such as Runner, Production Secretary, Team Assistant, 3rd Assistant Director, etc.
  • Demonstrable understanding of child licensing regulations and related compliance requirements
  • Evidence of strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage sensitive data in line with GDPR
  • Demonstrable excellent communication skills, capable of liaising across multiple departments
  • Familiarity with core production paperwork and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven proficiency in IT skills, especially with with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • A demonstrable passion for drama production and a desire to progress within production management.

 

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience working with child artists or coordinating child-related production logistics
  • Knowledge of chaperone licensing and training requirements
  • Previous involvement in booking accommodation, transport, or location shoot logistics.
