Account Handler

Cameraworks is a leading camera and lighting rental house in Shoreditch, trusted by film, TV, commercial & music video productions. 

We are now seeking a full-time Account Handler to join our team and support the company in delivering exceptional service.
THE ROLE

This role is central to how we support our clients and their productions. You’ll be working closely with a wide variety of people — from producers to production managers, creatives & DoPs — helping them organise and coordinate their equipment bookings for a wide variety of productions.


Day-to-day, you’ll make sure enquiries are handled efficiently and accurately, and projects run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll also be liaising with our technical and transport teams, so good communication and teamwork are important in this role.


It’s a varied role that combines administration with client interaction, making it well-suited to someone who enjoys being friendly, organised, detail-focused, and helpful.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong clerical and administrative skills combined with an interest in film, TV, and media production.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the first point of contact for client enquiries, offering prompt, accurate, and professional communication

  • Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with both new and existing clients

  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions that fit their production needs

  • Advise clients on equipment options and recommend alternatives where necessary.


Bookings & Administration

  • Accurately process all bookings and quotations, ensuring every detail is correctly captured in company systems

  • Approve and oversee online orders via the Cameraworks e-commerce platform

  • Manage the end-to-end administrative process for each booking, from enquiry through to final invoice

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures for account set-ups, credit checks, and security requirements

  • Oversee account applications from prospective clients in accordance with company policy.


Coordination & Internal Communication

  • Liaise with technical and transport teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfilment of bookings

  • Communicate clearly across departments, providing all relevant information so client expectations are met

  • Monitor bookings in progress, proactively resolving any issues that arise to maintain smooth operations


Operational Support

  • Keep detailed knowledge of the Cameraworks equipment inventory and stay informed about new additions

  • Support the Managing Director in implementing company processes and service improvements

  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, partners, and other rental companies.

Essential skills & qualities:

  • A friendly, professional manner that puts clients at ease and builds trust

  • Excellent clerical and administrative skills, with proven experience handling bookings, accounts, or client records

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a methodical approach to your work

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Clear and confident communication skills — both written and verbal

  • A proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to anticipate client and project needs.


Desirable skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in a camera or lighting rental company (clerical or technical background) is preferred but not essential

  • Familiarity with camera and lighting equipment or an eagerness to learn quickly

  • Experience using bookings systems and scheduling softwares

  • Knowledge of the film, TV & video content production industry.


DETAILS
  • Job Title: Account Handler

  • Reporting To: Managing Director

  • Salary: Negotiable – due to the wide range of skills and experience expected from applicants, the salary will be set according to the successful candidate’s experience and suitability for the role

  • Tenure: Full-time, permanent

  • Start Date: Flexible, depending on notice period & current employment circumstances.
