AV Engineer

Workplace Technology provides essential elements of technical requirements to all ITV Stakeholders. 

Specific to this role, provides scheduled and ad-hoc AV support for video conferencing / meeting room facilities, Corporate events, Video capture and new project installations.

Dynamism and agility of the support the AV team provides is well known with the business.


The role

  • Coverage of corporate events, including audio mixing (analog & digital desks), video capture / editing and streaming to the corporate intranet
  • Routine meeting room checks and maintenance. Scheduled and ad-hoc meeting room support requirements for Stakeholders
  • IPTV system support and displaying of internal communications content
  • Liaising with the Experience / events team, Commercial, Internal communications and press teams
  • Dealing with Stakeholders from all areas of the business
  • Occasional installation / project works.


Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Extensive experience in the same or similar role
  • A proven track record of Event support. Includes Camera, audio and web streaming
  • Proficient video and audio skills for event support of corporate events
  • Proficient technical background for installation / fault finding of meeting room video conferencing facilities
  • Support within the meeting rooms of stakeholders Apple Mac / Windows computer
  • Good working knowledge of a collaborative ‘Office Suite' of tools. (ITV uses Google Docs, Sheets and slides)
  • Some knowledge of IPTV would be an advantage
  • Questioning and curious - demonstrates an appetite for change and a desire to improve and enhance the user experience of AV technology at ITV
  • Passionate about technology with a keen interest in developments in workplace technology and a strong knowledge of the market in this space
  • Demonstrates proactivity and a self-motivated approach.


Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Have a passion for technology (particularly Audio / visual) and a digital workstream.
  • A creative eye for video capture
  • Installation / support of meeting room video conferencing facilities (Logitech, Google Meet & Zoom)
  • Excellent organisation and analytical skills
  • Proactive and reactive support attitude
  • A dynamic approach to solutions and dealing with unbeknown issues.
