ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Success in this role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels. - Support all UK accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all reporting cycles
- Play a key role in managing the UK and US year-end close, consolidation, audit, and tax compliance processes
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate reconciliations and completion of key accruals and adjustments
- Support financial administration, including entity management, bank account oversight, and internal control processes
- Partner with the US Finance team to align global accounting policies, intercompany transactions, and shared reporting standards across transatlantic operations
- Collaborate on cross-border cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning to maintain consistency and transparency
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and strengthen internal controls
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Interim Specific Requirements:
- 12-month fixed term contract
- Support Interim Head of Finance in day-to-day activities
- Play a key role in preparing for and managing the UK & US Audit and supporting the year end close
- Support the documentation of financial processes and controls post-merger
- System integration support (Netsuite).
- Qualified accountant (ACA)
- 1-2 years post-qualification, experience preferably in Media, TV/film production or Entertainment
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and local UK reporting standards
- Experience in accounting for multi-entity and multi-currency financial operations
- Proven track record in month end and year end close, consolidations, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit
- Skilled in financial systems and ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Sage or equivalent)
- Clear, confident communicator who is able to collaborate effectively across UK and US teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy in all financial matters.
