Team Assistant - Acquisitions, Channels & ITVX

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Team Assistant to support the ITV Acquisitions, Channels & ITVX team. 

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department, providing first-class administrative and operational support to the team. You will play a key role in managing diaries, coordinating travel, handling submissions, and keeping ITV’s content pipelines and databases up to date.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for television and film content to gain insight into the acquisitions & editorial process at the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster.


Key responsibilities

Administrative & Diary Support
  • Provide proactive diary management and administrative support for the Head of Acquisitions
  • Coordinate team diaries, particularly around key international TV markets
    Arrange and book travel, accommodation, and itineraries for the team as required
  • Organise and prepare for internal and external meetings, ensuring materials are ready and guests are welcomed
  • Raise POs for regular and ad hoc live-streaming projects.

Content & Systems Management
  • Update the ITVX Film Calendar to reflect completed deals
  • Maintain the monthly Films Drop List and circulate updates across teams
  • Monitor the Content Acquisitions inbox, responding to submissions or forwarding queries to the relevant acquisitions executive
  • Source and share promos/screeners with internal stakeholders when required
  • Ensure YouTube schedules are kept up to date, in line with wider content release plans
  • Complete, submit and track Commission Forms for ad-hoc commissions as required by Channels and ITVX team members.

Content Engagement & Events
  • Screen content submissions and provide initial feedback or recommendations
  • Liaise with studios, distributors, and partners to arrange screenings, previews, and industry events
  • Support the team in preparing for and attending key industry festivals and markets (e.g., Content London, MIPCOM, Series Mania, Cannes, etc.).


Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven administrative support experience, including diary management and international travel coordination
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring regular, professional liaison with senior internal stakeholders and external partners/clients
  • Previous working experience with at least one professional database or content management system
  • A clear, specific interest in the film, television & the content acquisition industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when updating systems, schedules, and costings
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems)
  • A proactive, flexible team player who can adapt to changing priorities
  • An interest in film, television, and content acquisition is highly desirable.
