Join the BBC Studios Global Markets team to help deliver accurate and engaging TV schedules across EMEA. 

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION
  • CONTRACT TYPE:  FTC 6 months 
  • DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Global Markets – Presentation & Media Planning 
  • LOCATION: London – Hybrid 
  • PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £33,000 -£39,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London Weighting £5,441 will be added on top of the base salary.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 

As a Presentation and Media Planner, you’ll play a key role in coordinating playlists, managing schedule changes, and ensuring campaigns and promotions are delivered effectively to audiences worldwide.

This role offers the chance to shape how audiences experience our channels, while developing expertise in scheduling systems and media planning. You’ll gain exposure to multiple markets and work closely with creative, programming, and commercial teams.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
  • Deliver highly accurate and fully transmittable presentation schedules/playlists to external playout providers
  • Liaise with Programming to ensure programmes, branding, promotions, and commercial airtime are scheduled correctly
  • Manage schedule amendments, including last minute changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Input and maintain promotions and versions in central databases
  • Collaborate with Media Planning to deliver campaigns, continuity, and on screen graphics that maximise effectiveness
  • Support colleagues across the Presentation team and provide occasional out of hours cover.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Previous presentation scheduling experience in a linear channel environment, ideally commercial channels
  • Experienced user of Phoenix 7 (formerly Zeus) scheduling system
  • Ability to manage last minute schedule changes with accuracy and composure
  • Strong understanding of broadcast workflows, including playout and media planning processes
  • Knowledge of commercial airtime optimisation and channel branding requirements.


DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience liaising with external playout providers and commercial sales houses
  • Familiarity with campaign delivery and on air promotions
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Collaborative approach with professional credibility
