Scripted Film & TV Consultant

Do you want to utilise your experience in the film and TV industry to address the greatest challenge we collectively face - the nature and climate crisis? 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique development fund focused on commercial scripted projects that address the climate crisis.

  • Contract type: Consultancy Contract for initial 10 months with potential for extension
  • Contract start date: ASAP
  • Location: Remote, but must be available for meetings in London 
  • This is a part-time role at 3 days a week for initial 10 months, with the potential for extension.


THE COMPANY

Climate Spring is a unique organisation working to develop content with the world’s leading production companies and broadcasters. We are a team made up of film and TV professionals, climate and funding experts. Our primary focus is on identifying, supporting and developing a range of long-form content that is commercially viable within the global English language market. 


We also provide consultancy and training support to the industry on climate storytelling within a commercial context. We provide funding, advice, connections, coordination and partnership.


THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Scripted Film & TV Consultant to work with us to identify film & TV projects which address the climate crisis. You will have at least five years professional experience working in film & TV in a development or commissioning. We are keen to receive applications from individuals with knowledge of the film market.

Expertise of climate or sustainability is not a requirement.


Key responsibilities:

  • Be part of the team that drives the development of the company’s current film and TV investments, as well as acquiring and developing new IP and concepts for commission
  • Manage and develop relationships with studios, broadcasters, commissioners, production companies
  • Manage and develop the company’s talent network through agents and other relevant screen industry stakeholders
  • Track and report on new and emerging writing and directing talent
  • Alongside the book scout track and report on new and exciting relevant IP
  • Provide regular updates to the Directors on slate, and work closely with the company’s scripted team to share market insights and potential for international development.
  • Prepare regular development funding recommendations for the Directors’ review and approval.
