Online Editor

We are seeking an experienced Online Editor to join our busy finishing team, working in our fast-paced, client-focused environment where a commitment to excellence, creativity and collaboration are key. 

The Role


You will be a confident, technically skilled and creative driven online editor with a proven track record across scripted, unscripted and commercial productions.


This is a hands-on, client-facing role, working closely with your Picture Finishing colleagues, Technical and Post Management teams to deliver technically accurate, creatively strong outputs to Broadcaster and Streamer specifications. 


You will take ownership of online workflows from offline turnover through to final QC and delivery, managing priorities and expectations in a fast-moving post environment through clear communication, organisation and collaboration. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead online and picture finishing sessions across multiple genres and formats

  • Conform to frame-accurate timelines using EDL / AAF / XML workflows

  • Manage VFX pulls, drop-ins, versioning and reconforms

  • Prepare projects for grading, including media prep, LUT workflows and render management

  • Experience across HDR, IMF and Dolby Vision pipelines and multi-version delivery

  • Layback graded picture, mix, VFX and graphics into final masters

  • Perform detailed editorial and technical QC, ensuring compliance with broadcaster and platform specifications

  • Package, verify and deliver final masters, documentation and metadata.

  • Maintain clear version control, file management and delivery records.

  • Work closely with MCR / Technical Team and Post Management on media movement, storage and archiving

  • Support the development and skill growth of Online Assistant, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work aligns with standards

  • Confidently host client-attended sessions, collaborating with clients and managing expectations with the support of the Post Management Team.


Skills & Experience:

  • Significant professional experience as an Online Editor in broadcast, streaming or commercial post-production

  • Strong understanding of offline-to-online workflows, DI, colour pipelines, VFX integration and sound post

  • Proven experience in delivering to major broadcasters and streamers 

  • High proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Solid technical knowledge of Mac and PC based systems, Blackmagic hardware and shared storage environments

  • Excellent QC knowledge and a thorough understanding of broadcaster and streamer technical specifications

  • Strong media management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Location: Glasgow City Centre / Remote Working
