You’ll have sharp editorial instincts, strong experience in running shows and understanding your digital audience and lots of creative energy. You’ll be comfortable managing a moving schedule and confident being a key part of the production process, from inception to delivery.
Your Role: As a Senior Producer, you will be responsible for delivering one of our flagship Royals formats, overseeing its execution (including cut downs and socials) from end to end. Supported by more junior colleagues, you will need to lead and inspire as well as make sure that any supporting formats also published to that channel and created by them are up to the highest standards. Working directly into the Exec Producer and Channel Manager you will need to make editorial decisions based on analytics, adapting and evolving our content to ensure it is as successful as it can be.
A confident, independent worker, you’ll be comfortable leading your team and making decisions, whilst also able to working closely with production to ensure our workflows are adhered to and we stay on time and on budget for delivery.
Your Team: Sun Originals is a brand new video production studio making premium series for The Sun, Sun Sport and Fabulous brands. Creating, developing and producing a slate of brand new original shows, the department is tasked with delivering huge new audiences, developing a raft of famous new faces and helping to deliver The Sun to its next generation of viewers.

Day to day you will:
Make confident editorial decisions based on channel ambitions backed up by analytics
Cast and book the best talent
Pre and post production delivery oversight
Be confident liaising with the editorial news team
Produce shooting briefs and scripts for series
Be confident on set and managing talent on set and on location
Be confident writing video headlines and supporting descriptions
Pitch and develop new creative ideas to the Exec Producer
Leadership of more junior colleagues to ensure successful delivery of their formats and social assets delivery
Ensure compliance and duty of care protocols are adhered to, and assist the production department in maintaining the necessary paperwork.

Digital Native: You are deeply immersed in the digital media landscape, with an intuitive understanding of what drives traffic online, especially on YouTube and how content needs to adapt across platforms
Royal News Savvy: You have a solid understanding of journalistic practices, the latest news and lifestyle coverage trends, and how to turn them into compelling visual stories that resonate with digital audiences
Data-Driven & Results-Oriented: You use analytics and performance insights to shape editorial decisions and optimise content
Team Management: You are used to managing teams, including producers and editors, to deliver great episodes in a positive manner
Leadership & Collaboration: You’re a natural collaborator who can work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless video production process from concept to execution.
Organised: You have excellent project management skills and ensure your production admin is correct and up to date.
