- Company: FUBAR Radio
- Position: Video Editor (Social Media Team)
- Salary: £35k+ Depending on Experience
- Location: Hybrid (London)
- Contract: Full‑time Employee.
As we enter a period of rapid expansion, we are looking for a Social Media Video Editor who can cut through the noise, capture “lightning in a bottle,” and transform it into the viral moments that build a brand presence, that is both undeniable and relentless.
More about FUBAR
We are Britain’s biggest live podcast network, creating
audio and video content exclusively for the Gen Z demographic. For more than a
decade, we’ve built a reputation for being unfiltered, irreverent, and
consistently ahead of the curve.
While the big players scramble to retrofit youth appeal,
FUBAR has already spent ten years embedded in Gen Z culture—operating under the
radar, building trust, developing talent, and growing with this generation from
their teens into adulthood.
This is the foundation you’ll be joining: a brand that
didn’t chase Gen Z… we grew up with them.
And now, everything is about to scale.
In a game‑changing move, we’re preparing for a major
relaunch as we go live on national DAB Radio—an incredibly rare milestone in
the media industry that marks our evolution from digital pioneer to national
powerhouse.
The viral clips you create will not follow cultural
conversation; they’ll start it.
Why Join the Crew?
Working at FUBAR is not simply another role—it’s an
opportunity to be part of a fast‑rising media organisation at a pivotal moment
in its growth. We are a focused, ambitious, and highly collaborative team that
takes pride in the work we create and the culture we’ve built. Our lean, agile
structure means your ideas won’t be diluted by layers of hierarchy; the impact
of your work will be visible, immediate, and central to shaping the next
generation of UK media.
Industry leaders have identified FUBAR as one of the most
significant emerging forces in the sector and joining us now offers a rare
chance to accelerate your career as the organisation expands onto a national
stage. If you want to contribute to a brand on the brink of major
transformation—and be able to say you played a part in its rise—this is the
moment to step in.
Your Role
Your remit is clear: elevate FUBAR’s social presence to
industry‑defining levels. You will identify, refine, and shape moments that do
more than attract views—they cultivate a loyal, highly engaged audience. Your
work will transform raw footage into culturally relevant, platform‑ready
content that drives conversation and accelerates brand growth.
In this role, you will serve as the vital connection between
long‑form storytelling—across live radio, podcasts, and YouTube—and the fast‑moving,
highly competitive world of social media. You will develop original,
distinctive, and strategically driven ideas that attract new audiences into the
FUBAR ecosystem and reinforce our position as a leading voice in youth‑focused
media.
Who You Are:
- You
don’t simply use social media—you understand its language, its pace, and
its cultural signals. You have an intuitive grasp of TikTok, Reels, and YouTube
Shorts that goes beyond surface‑level trends
- You
track the lifecycle of online culture with precision: what peaked
yesterday, what is accelerating today, and what is poised to break through
next week
- You
have no interest in being in front of the camera. You’re not an aspiring
influencer or presenter—but you are the creative architect behind
the scenes. You want your work to be recognised, not your
face
- You
understand that the difference between “good” and “exceptional” often
comes down to a filmic style, a perfectly timed sound effect, or a
deliberate social media design choice
- You
can distil a 60‑minute conversation into a 30‑second moment that stops a
viewer mid‑scroll and compels them to engage
- You
can generate original, platform‑native ideas outside the studio that drive
new audiences toward our content ecosystem
- You
can create highly engaging trailers of FUBAR’s programming that will drive
a new audience.
Your Toolkit:
- A
sharp editorial instinct that allows you to identify high‑potential clips
within hours of receiving raw footage
- Expert‑level
editing skills, with an ability to produce content that feels cinematic,
polished, and premium
- You
will have a proficiency in motion graphics for television or similar level
experience that can sprinkle a level of pizzaz across your work
- An
ability to shoot original location-based video content would be a distinct
advantage. Therefore, a confidence around cameras and lighting, with an
‘eye’ for a good shot would be equally advantageous
- The
ability to storyboard/script and conceptualise social‑first ideas from
scratch
- A
meticulous eye for detail—so much so that you’ll reference the word ‘orange’
in your cover letter to demonstrate that you have read this detail
- Proficiency
across industry‑standard platforms and software, including TikTok,
Instagram, X, Facebook, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, (Avid, Final Cut or
similar), DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools. Experience with After Effects
or advanced motion graphics is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- In
collaboration with the producer, you will review long‑form recorded studio
content and extract high‑engagement, platform‑ready clips
- Edit,
caption, and optimise video content for vertical formats (9:16) across
multiple social platforms
- Create
original social clips that subvert existing contemporary footage in order
to tell a story
- Collaborate
closely with the Social Media Manager to refine and evolve the brand’s
visual identity.
What You Get:
- Competitive
salary and comprehensive employee benefits package
- Flexible
hours and hybrid working arrangements
- The
opportunity to work alongside a talented, driven, and collaborative team
- Full
ownership and creative autonomy over your work
- A
rare chance to shape a brand evolving into a nationwide cultural identity.
How to Apply
We’re not looking for a standard application. Send us:

Portfolio – Show us the clips you’ve created that genuinely moved the
needle.
