About The Role


Content Curators are responsible for the ingest, logging and management of video clips. The role is responsible for everything from tagging video data with various metadata attributes and researching footage to customer briefs, to light video editing.  


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a career in the audiovisual archive industry. We will provide a period of in-house training, fully documented with ongoing support. 


This role is office based and you will be required to attend the office 5 days per week.


Responsibilities include:   

  • Logging footage using pre-determined keyword schema
  • Working with senior Content Curators and the Head of Orchard Clips to identify commercially valuable content
  • Ingest rushes produced by production teams in the field into the systems with accompanying metadata
  • Researching and identifying footage of specific customer interest upon request
  • Identifying themes and suitable content for marketing and promotional usage
  • Carrying out spot checks / verification and troubleshooting as required, escalating issues when necessary
  • Using Adobe Premiere to carry out basic edits as required.

Required skills and experience:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner who seeks continual improvement and takes steps to prevent errors from recurring
  • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office, Excel etc.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Desirable skills and experience:
  • Understanding of video formats & codecs, aspect ratios and frame rates
  • Knowledge of Middle Eastern politics and history
  • Arabic/Farsi language skills
  • Experience of working in the TV, film, in stock footage and/or content curation.
