This is a hands-on role at the heart of the studios, supporting our mixers, preparing sessions and stages, managing media and deliverables, troubleshooting problems and making sure everything is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
Technical ability is important, but attitude is just as important to us. We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm in spades: proactive, positive, calm under pressure and someone who takes real pride in getting the detail right.
You’ll be a key link between mixers, operations, clients and the wider Pip team, so you’ll need to communicate confidently, take ownership and think ahead.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing Pro Tools mix sessions, including setting up sessions from templates, track laying audio and QC’ing content
- Preparing mix stages, equipment and media and supporting mixers throughout sessions
- Working confidently with audio routing in large complex sessions, troubleshooting signal flow and resolving issues
- Managing the ingest, movement and organisation of client media
- QC’ing incoming materials and final masters with exceptional attention to detail, even under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Preparing, conforming, exporting and delivering assets to client specifications
- Managing files, sessions, workspaces and final deliverables, ensuring documentation, naming and labelling are accurate
- Identifying, resolving and clearly communicating technical, media and workflow issues, escalating where appropriate
- Thinking ahead and showing initiative to keep workflows moving efficiently.

Technical Experience
You should have:
- Strong working knowledge of Avid Pro Tools
- Experience preparing and managing audio sessions in a professional post-production environment
- Experience working within an Atmos post-production environment
- Strong knowledge of audio routing and signal flow, including troubleshooting large and complex sessions
- A good understanding of film and television post-production workflows
- Experience of data and media management processes within post-production
- A strong understanding of video and audio codecs, compression, file transcoding and technical metadata
- Experience with file management, conversion and delivery workflows
- Strong general IT, networking and technical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Dante, Aspera and DDP/networking would be advantageous.
You should also be comfortable researching unfamiliar technology, systems and processes and developing your knowledge independently.
